So I know there are certain medical conditions that allow a patient to be younger than 18 to consent to their medical treatment, such as drugs, alcohol, or sexual activity, according to federal law. However, (even with working in the medical field the last 10 years) I never heard that a parent could not obtain basic lab results on a minor. I understand the medical staff is following the law, however, there should be some exceptions to CHIDLREN who are handicap!
