Besides 5 of our 6 kids living with other parents and in different states, mine in Utah and Eric's in Alabama. Our Christmas budget must include the full cost of airfare, increase cost of household expenses (mainly food!), Christmas gifts, and birthday gifts. Yes you read right birthday gifts!
Maybe next year! |
December 20th Jayson turns 7
January 1st Eric turns OLD!!!
January 5th Joey turns 16 (kind of odd to say sweet 16 for a guy!)
AND
March 17th Jarom turns 16
Since Eric's kids flights are so expensive, we are only planning on them visiting for Christmas and summer, thankfully Jordan's birthday is in the summer. And now that my kids are closer to us, they are able to visit more often, which means we may celebrate Jarom's birthday over Spring Break, however it won't be with everyone.
Thankfully, almost all the Christmas gifts are purchased and Jayson's birthday gifts are purchased, I forget how easy it is to shop for younger ones! Joey and Jarom are both turning 16 and we really want to do something extra special for them, but what do you do for boys??? And Eric, well he is the typical man, if he wants something he just buys it himself!
Break over, time to get wrapping!
