And so it begins - updated 08/21/13

The boys completed their first college applications today to Auburn University.

Today (08/13/13), I decided to check the status of the boys applications to make sure we were still moving forward and on track with the boys being considered for first pick admissions (final decisions and acceptance letters will be sent in October). Below is where each of them stand.

Joey's status:

Jarom also applied for Texas A&M on 08/05/13, but he is awaiting a letter from them with his log on information in order to check his status. For those of you who may not know this (we didn't) to enroll for any Texas college/ university you complete the applications process through www.applytexas.org, this allows each prospective student to not only complete and pay for their application, but it also gives them the opportunity to apply for several scholarships at the same time. It took Jarom about 10-15 minutes longer to click through each scholarship opportunity and complete some of the required sections. Hopefully the letter will come sometime this week and we can log on to determine that status. He isn't too concerned at this point on Texas A&M as this is his last pick for college, but we obviously don't want to drag our feet just in case! 

Well, as of 08/19/2013, both boys now have all their stuff available to Auburn for review. Now we play the waiting game for the next month and a half to two months to see if both boys get accepted in the first round of applicants! First round picks will be notified in October, second round in November, third round in December and final round in February.
