Since I started drinking coffee about 8 years ago, for medical reasons, I am always looking for yummy ways to make coffee. I came across this recipe today at
www.simplebites.net.
Flavored Toffee Caramel Dessert Coffee
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk chocolate toffee bits (Such as Heath Bar bits)
- 5 cups hot brewed coffee (decaf is fine)
- 2 Tablespoons caramel sauce or ice cream topping
- In a small bowl, beat cream until it begins to thicken. Add vanilla and sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Refrigerate until ready for use.
- Stir toffee bits into hot brewed coffee. Let sit for two minutes then strain and discard any leftover bits.
- Divide coffee into 5 separate mugs. Top with whipped topping then drizzle with caramel sauce.
really?! you GET to drink coffee? Is there a medical reason to drink Dr. Pepper?? According to my dentist, there is medical reason to STOP drinking soda. I disagree - what does he know. :) Love reading your blog. How quiet your house must be with only Bre around. Good job on the couch-5K!
ReplyDeleteI do get to drink coffee. I have extremely low blood pressure and need a stimulant to help raise it. My doctor told me to either drink tea, coffee, or caffeinated soda. To be honest I can't stand any those, but I can doctor up coffee enough to tolerate it, although I don't like the extra calories. My house isn't all that quite I have Bre! But she is now enjoying the one-on-one time we are getting. Thanks on the 5k training.
